For the reason. Timorous is a boss in Slender Fortress.

Description[]

"A very eerie silence until you hear a horrendous screeching."

The 'Timorous' is a humanoid creature that resembles a human male. Appearing without any sight of clothing worn, said creature seems to don a bald head, a normal, healthy body weight and a slender-like appearance, standing at a height of at least 6 foot 8, with the head looking abnormal and more roundish skinny than average. Timorous appears black and white with many dark shadows that some presume to be blood covering almost his entire body.

In Slender Fortress[]

Timorous is a Boss in Boss Pack 8. This guy is a huge force to be reckoned with. However, you have to provoke him first. He sees everything, and if you stay in his sights for too long, say goodbye. He's impossible to outrun, but getting him to run is not easy. He won't chase for about 3 seconds if you stay in his sights, and backing away calms him down again. However, upon scaring your character twice, he will auto-chase. While alerted, Timorous can also hear you and has a sound threshold. Build that up while he's alerted and he'll also auto-chase. This boss glows in the dark, but his sounds are quiet, so overall he's easy to fine. Watch out on higher difficulties, as he can walk around if he hears you

Recommendation[]

While any class works against Timorous, Spy is the best choice since you can get away with cloak. This boss is a test of patience, and if you got time, than it's your choice who you pick.

The Scout is not recommended for escapes because he is not fast enough to outrun chargers (which is common sense and is also ironic because Scout is the fastest class in Team Fortress 2 in general, but since we're talking about an alternate game mode, we're going to disregard that), with the addition of a higher boss alert rate (Scout's footsteps create more noise in comparison to the other classes). The Heavy (with the Gloves of Running Urgently equipped) or the Demoman can possibly escape him in some cases (running through lots of corners) but the chances are not guaranteed unless you're really up for the challenge.

Trivia[]

  • The word 'timorous' has a meaning; "showing or suffering from nervousness, fear, or a lack of confidence." The term "Suffering from nervousness" can mean the player itself, since humans, in general, trigger a fight or flight response (which lowers one's confidence and stimulates nervousness and fear, hence the meaning) when facing something mysteriously uncanny, or it can be directed to the boss itself, as Timorous is shown to violently twitch his head left and right at rapid speeds. A theory could be presumed that Timorous himself is suffering from the same conditions that the word named after himself is mentioned.
  • Timorous' jumpscare on death is a compilation of edited, more darkened versions of creepy images that can be found on the internet. Some of which is found on creepypastas, as one of the last frames shown before the GIF loops on the jumpscare is a darkened version of Tomino's Hell.
    • This can also be the same case on Paranoia's jumpscares, both the classic and the current versions.
  • If "Bacon Spray" special round is selected with timorous, he will have no grace period. Meaning the moment you get in his line of sight (in front or behind him) he will instantly charge at you. He also won't despawn until you get far away from him.
  • Timorous at one point could charge on scare meaning that looking at him would cause you to get scared and he would charge you just for looking at him.
