Book Simon is a boss in Slender Fortress.
Description[]
From the acclaimed Source mod Cry of Fear, Book Simon is the personification of the game's depressed protagonist Simon Henriksson's view on his internal evilness.
In Slender Fortress[]
Book Simon is a Boss in the Cry of Fear Pack. This boss is a very stealthy boss, as not only is it a Hit & Run boss, but he's also completely silent. The only way to tell if he's on your tail is by listening out to his obnoxiously loud chase theme (or his spawn sound, which is accompanied by an effect as well if he's chasing a player sometimes his shotgun blasts can be heard). Other than that, Book Simon has rather poor stats, but he also carries a shotgun. The shotgun does relatively low damage for that type of weapon, but it also applies bleeding. Book Simon also disappears very quickly despite his poor speed & persistence. Too make him even less of threat, he lacks a copy, meaning its just him and his sidearm.
In the Classic Pack, Book Simon is a standard Chaser. He's not very fast or persistence, but he also comes with a Copy. Together, they annihilate anyone that isn't playing Medic or Sniper. Just like in the Cry of Fear Pack, he isn't stunnable, but he doesn't cause bleeding and just does heavy ranged damage.
Recommended Classes[]
It might be hard to tell when he'll appear since most Cry of Fear bosses lack an intro, but Medic & Sniper are the best choices. Really no other class works except for maybe Heavy.

Trivia[]
- The shotgun he uses is the same shotgun that appears in the game where he originates from.
- Something worth noting about this boss is that he has a 3 second delay between where he spots a player then fires. This is useful and can help you to evade him and get away, like ducking under something for cover. He doesn't have Ghost bullets, so they don't hit you through cover.
- He has a bright glow around him, so he isn't invisible in dark maps like Bloodwood.
- Book Simon has blood covering his face and has a look of anger and hatred. Making him look like the Normal Simon if he went insane and became a serial killer. This seems possible because in MANY of the endings of Cry Of Fear, It usually involves Simon killing his doctor and/or his own girlfriend & he also say's that he wished he could have taken everyone with him in the first ending.
